Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of BOOPOLY ("the Service"), a web interface for trading on Polymarket. By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
NoteThe Service is in beta, and orders placed through it are real orders that use your funds. Please read the Risk Disclosure before your first trade.
#1What BOOPOLY is
BOOPOLY is an interface. It helps you find markets, shows you prices and analytics, and helps you build and sign orders. Those orders are then sent to Polymarket's Central Limit Order Book (CLOB), an exchange operated by a third party.
BOOPOLY is not:
- the exchange, the clearing house, or the counterparty to your trades;
- the party that decides how a market resolves;
- a broker, dealer, investment adviser, or fiduciary;
- a custodian of your money.
Every order you place through BOOPOLY is a real Polymarket order, signed by your own wallet and settled on the Polygon blockchain. Your positions, fills, and settlements can be verified on-chain and on Polymarket's own data feeds, independently of anything BOOPOLY shows you.
Nothing in the Service is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Rankings, leaderboards, analytics, "top traders", and any automated strategy template are provided for information only. They are not recommendations, and past results shown anywhere in the Service do not predict future results.
#2Eligibility and your location
You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction and legally permitted to use a prediction market there. You are responsible for determining this.
Prediction markets are restricted or prohibited in many jurisdictions. The Service disables real-money order placement in certain countries and regions. The list currently covers sanctioned jurisdictions and certain jurisdictions the exchange names in its own terms, and also Taiwan, which we restrict under our own policy. It is not a complete copy of the exchange's own restrictions: the exchange may refuse orders from other locations, and you remain responsible for complying with its terms. The list may change. The purpose of the check is to let you know, before you fund an account, that you may not be able to trade from it. It works as follows:
- It uses your approximate network (IP) location — country, and in some cases first-level region — together with your device's time zone. A device set to the time zone of a restricted location (for example, Asia/Taipei for Taiwan) is treated as being in that location. Both signals are approximate.
- If the location lookup fails, the check allows the submission rather than blocking it.
- It is applied when you submit: placing an order, creating a copy trade, or starting an automated run. Once a submission has been accepted, execution continues: the resulting orders are placed on a schedule and do not re-check your location, and you do not need to remain in any particular place for a configuration you already created to keep running.
- Browsing the Service and Sim mode are not affected by the check.
- It does not verify your residence, citizenship, or tax status.
The check is a notice, intended to inform you before you deposit funds. It is not a compliance control, and you should not rely on it as one. If the law where you are does not permit you to use a prediction market, you must not use the Service, whether or not order placement is available to you.
We do not provide guidance on reaching an exchange from a location where it is unavailable.
#3Your wallet and your funds
The Service is non-custodial. When you sign in, an embedded wallet and a smart contract wallet are created for you through Privy, a third-party wallet provider. Your funds are held in wallets you control, and your wallet's private key is held in Privy's secure enclave, not by us.
- We do not hold your money. There is no BOOPOLY account balance; your balance is the balance of your wallet.
- We do not withdraw, transfer, freeze, or spend your funds. The only way the Service can act on your wallet is the optional signer described below.
- You are responsible for your login credentials and for exporting and safeguarding your keys. If you lose access to your login method and have not exported your keys, your funds may be permanently unrecoverable, and neither we nor anyone else will be able to restore them. Support explains how to export your keys.
#Optional: the automated-trading signer
To run copy trading or an automated strategy while your browser is closed, you may explicitly grant the Service a signer on your wallet. It is off unless you turn it on. It is constrained by a policy held at Privy that permits only:
- signing Polymarket CLOB orders,
- the token approvals and collateral wrapping those orders require, and
- wallet batches on registered BOOPOLY deposit wallets, used to wrap collateral and redeem winnings.
The policy limits what the signer can be used for. Because a wallet batch can include a transfer, the policy does not make a transfer technically impossible. You can revoke the signer at any time from your account settings. Revoking it stops server-side automation; it does not close positions you already hold.
#4Placing orders
You are responsible for every order placed from your wallet, including orders placed by automation you configured.
- Orders are irrevocable once filled. We cannot reverse, cancel, or refund a fill.
- A resting order may fill partially, or not at all.
- The exchange may reject or cancel an order for its own reasons, including your location, insufficient collateral, or reuse of collateral committed to another resting order.
- Prices, order books, charts, and reference prices shown in the Service are indicative. They come from third-party feeds, may be delayed or inaccurate, and may differ from the values the exchange uses to settle a market. See the Risk Disclosure.
#5Automated strategies
The Service offers copy trading and automated trading. If you use them:
- You set the parameters and are responsible for the results. A strategy carries out exactly what you configured, including where a setting turns out to be a mistake.
- They run unattended, on a schedule, without asking you to confirm each order. A strategy may place many orders, and may incur losses, while you are offline. The budget and loss limits the tools provide help you control this.
- Copying another trader is not an endorsement of that trader. Your copied orders may fill at different prices, in a different size, with a delay, or into a position the trader is already exiting.
- Automation may stop without notice, for example because of an outage, a rejected order, an insufficient balance, or a revoked signer. Please check a strategy's status in the Service rather than assuming it is running.
- Simulated ("Sim") mode places no real orders and moves no real money. Simulated results are not a promise of real ones: they do not fully model slippage, queue position, or partial fills.
#6Fees
What a trade costs is set out in full on the Fees & Costs page. In summary:
- A BOOPOLY fee applies to taker fills: 0.50% of notional on taker (market) fills, 0.00% on maker (limit) fills. It is applied on-chain by the exchange against our builder code; we do not deduct anything ourselves.
- Polymarket charges its own taker fee on market orders, varying by market category and price. Maker orders pay none.
- Market orders are subject to slippage.
- On-chain gas is currently sponsored, so normal trading costs you no gas. This is a discretionary subsidy and may be reduced or withdrawn.
The order panel shows an estimated total before you confirm. On thin or fast-moving markets the actual fill can differ from the estimate. Fee rates may change; the current rates are always those shown in the Service and on the Fees page.
#Referral rewards
If you invite others with your referral code, you may earn a referral reward:
- The reward is a share of the fees BOOPOLY actually receives from the trades of the people you invited, not a share of their trading volume. The share may change; we will announce a change before it takes effect.
- Self-referral and wash trading are not allowed. This includes entering your own code from another account of yours or of a related person, and trading with each other to generate fees.
- If we find a violation, we may void rewards not yet paid, and in serious cases recover rewards already paid and end your referral eligibility.
- A referral code can be entered once, before your first trade. It cannot be added or changed afterwards.
- Rewards are paid in USDC on Polygon to your trading wallet, weekly, once at least $10 has accrued; the current schedule, minimum and currency are those shown on the referral page. A delay caused by the blockchain or a third-party service is not a breach of these Terms.
- You are responsible for any tax on rewards you receive.
#7Market resolution and disputes
We do not resolve markets and have no influence over their outcome. Each market's wording, resolution source, and final outcome are determined by Polymarket and its oracle process.
If you dispute how a market resolved, the dispute is with Polymarket, through its process, and not with us. We cannot overturn a resolution or compensate you for one you disagree with.
#8Beta software
The Service is under active development and is provided as is. It may contain defects, may be unavailable, may display incorrect data, and may change or remove features without notice. We do not guarantee uptime, and an outage may occur while you have open positions or running strategies.
#9Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service where it is unlawful for you to do so;
- use it for money laundering, sanctions evasion, or the proceeds of crime;
- attempt to manipulate a market, or trade on information obtained unlawfully;
- attack, overload, scrape abusively, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or another user's account;
- misrepresent your identity or eligibility.
#10Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, including where we believe these terms have been breached or where continuing would expose us to legal risk.
Because the Service is non-custodial, losing access to it does not affect your ownership of your funds. Your wallet remains yours, and its assets remain accessible independently of BOOPOLY; see the self-custody guidance in Support.
You may stop using the Service at any time, and may request deletion of your account data as described in the Privacy Policy.
#11No warranty; limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any trading losses, lost profits, or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including losses caused by defects, outages, incorrect or delayed data, automated strategies, third-party services, or the acts of the exchange.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
#12Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top of this page, and where a change materially affects your rights we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in the Service. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
