Automated trading — your parameters, orders placed 24/7

3 min read

BOOPOLY's Automated trading lets you set, in advance, when to buy, how much, and when to sell on any Polymarket market — and then places the orders by your rules. Once you start a real run, our server runs it 24/7, even with your browser closed.

This guide covers what it does, what you can set, and how to start. Every field is described in Automated trading.

#What it does

  • Enters on your conditions: buy when the price bounces after a drop, chase it as it climbs, or rest orders at prices you pick.
  • Exits on your conditions: sell at a profit target, on a pullback from the high, at a stop-loss, or hold to settlement.
  • Repeats round after round: after selling it watches again for the next signal, until your round limit, profit target or loss limit.
  • Runs both sides independently: Yes and No (or Up and Down) of one market can each have their own settings, at the same time.
  • Never sleeps: real runs live on the server — no browser needed.

#What you can set

The panel has five sections, filled in order:

Section You decide For example
① When to buy The entry signal Bounce, Climb, Custom; on crypto Up/Down also Fair price, a leader-only filter, a volatility cap
② How and how much to buy Order type, size, pacing Market or limit, shares per order, max open positions, gap between buys
③ When to sell Take-profit and stop-loss Fixed price, trailing, or hold to settlement; a stop-loss %
④ Winding down before settlement What happens near the end Sell everything some time before the end, or just stop buying
⑤ When to stop the run Limits for the whole run Window profit target, window loss limit, a round limit

Prefer not to fill the panel field by field? Guided setup asks one question at a time and fills it in for you.

#Real and Sim

Real Sim
Real money Yes No — virtual capital you set
Where it runs Our server, 24/7 Your browser; pauses when the tab closes
Good for Running your strategy for real Learning the panel and checking your parameters behave as you expect

#Extras on crypto Up/Down markets

Timed Up/Down markets on BTC, ETH, SOL and XRP also support:

  • Relay: when a window ends, the next one starts automatically with the same settings, up to 288 windows, with an optional total loss limit.
  • Backtest: replay your current settings second by second over order books we recorded, to see how they would have placed orders.

#Save it as a script

Turn on Use a script at the top of the panel to save both sides' settings as a named script and load it on another market in one click. A run that has already started or finished can be saved as a script too, so the same parameters are easy to reuse.

#Getting started

  1. Open a market, press Auto next to an outcome, and choose Guided setup or Set it up yourself.
  2. Pick Real or Simulated.
  3. Choose which side(s) to run and work through the five sections.
  4. Optionally press Script to hear the whole strategy read back in plain words.
  5. Press Start 24/7 (Real) or Start run (Sim) and confirm the summary.
  6. To end it, press Stop; leftover shares are handled the way you set.
Tip

Use limit orders where you can — they fill as a maker and pay no taker fee. Rates are in Fees & Costs.

#Limits

  • Up to 10 real runs at once per account; Sim runs don't count.
  • One run per side of a market per mode.
  • Before your first real run you need to sign in and complete a one-time trading setup; real-money trading is not available in some countries and regions.
Note

Automated trading places real orders with your funds according to your settings. We suggest trying your settings in Sim first and setting a loss limit.
