Wallets and Login
BOOPOLY (Beta) signs you in with Privy — email, Google or Discord, no seed phrase or browser extension needed to start. Behind that single login sits a two-address wallet model. This page explains both addresses, what each one is for, and every item in the account menu.
NoteBOOPOLY is in Beta and trades real funds on Polymarket. Before your first deposit, it helps to know which of your two addresses holds your trading balance — this page explains it.
#Setup flow
- Click Sign in in the top-right of the navigation bar.
- In the Privy dialog, choose email, Google or Discord and complete the sign-in.
- Privy provisions your embedded wallet automatically — there is no seed phrase to write down to begin trading.
- Once signed in, the Sign in button is replaced by a Deposit button (a + on phones), a notification bell, and a button showing your balance and avatar.
- Click the balance/avatar button to open the account dropdown, where you can see both of your addresses and reach every wallet action.
TipYou can move to full self-custody later — see Export wallet and Security.
#The two-address model
Every account has two addresses. Both are shown at the top of the account dropdown, each with a small pill.
| Address | Pill | What it is | What it holds / does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sign-in wallet (EOA, externally-owned account) | Sign-in (gray pill) | Your Privy-managed wallet, shown under your email | Your login identity and the key Privy manages for you. It is not where your trading balance lives. |
| Deposit wallet (Polymarket smart-contract wallet) | Smart wallet (accent-colored pill) | A Polymarket deposit/trading wallet whose address is worked out from your sign-in wallet | Holds your USDC and acts as the order maker. All deposits must land here, and all trades are placed from it. |
NoteYour trading balance lives in the deposit wallet, not the sign-in wallet (EOA), so deposits go to the deposit-wallet address. The Deposit modal always shows the right address. See Deposit and withdraw.
#Sign-in wallet vs deposit wallet at a glance
- Sign-in wallet (EOA) — think of it as your account key and identity. Privy manages it, it is tied to your login, and it is the account your deposit wallet belongs to. You generally do not send deposits here.
- Deposit wallet — your actual trading account. It holds USDC (converted to pUSD collateral for trading) and is the
makeron every order you place. This is the address to copy when funding your account.
NoteThe deposit-wallet address is worked out from your sign-in wallet, so the same login always maps to the same deposit wallet, and the address exists before the wallet has ever been used on-chain — you can deposit to it straight away. The wallet itself is set up gaslessly when you first enable trading or place your first order.
#The account dropdown
Open it from the balance/avatar button in the top-right. It contains:
| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Email + sign-in address + Sign-in pill | Your login email with the masked sign-in (EOA) address. |
| Live ET clock | Current time in US Eastern (ET (New York)), because markets are labelled in ET. |
| Key icon (Export wallet) | Top-right of the header. Explains how to self-custody your wallet. See below. |
| Deposit address + Smart wallet pill | Your deposit-wallet address; the copy button (Copy smart wallet address) puts it on your clipboard, and the row opens your Portfolio. |
| My positions & history | Opens your trader page: P&L, positions and activity for your deposit wallet. |
| Referral rewards | Opens the referral program page. |
| Withdraw USDC | Opens the withdraw modal. See Deposit and withdraw. |
| Hide illiquid markets | Toggle to hide thin markets from browsing. Default: ON. |
| Auto-redeem settled winnings | Toggle, saved to your account. Default: ON. |
| Your data | Data export and account deletion. |
| Sign out | Logs you out of Privy. |
NoteA Support footer also appears at the bottom of the dropdown, with a Get help link, X / Telegram / Docs icons, and Terms / Privacy / Risk links. The X and Telegram icons are inactive while those accounts are being set up. The light/dark theme switch is not in this menu — it sits in the navigation bar next to the language picker (in the side menu on phones).
#Export wallet
The Export wallet action (the key icon in the dropdown header) opens an informational panel. It does not hand over a private key inside the app — instead it shows the email or account you sign in with and an Open Privy to export button that takes you to Privy's own recovery site (on privy.io) to export your private key. It also links to the offline rescue tool and lists both wallet addresses. Full guidance is in Security.
ImportantYour private key gives full control of your funds. Keep it to yourself, and enter it only at
privy.ioor in the official rescue tool.
